JOB SUMMARY:

Perform technical functions within the Quality Assurance Department providing Quality Engineering with technical information for all aspects of the product manufacturing cycle. The first section below outlines the essential job functions of the Quality Tech job. Quality Techs must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform inspection and measurement of parts, components, and assemblies within the assigned area of responsibility.

· Support pilot/engineering builds from a quality perspective and provide online support during builds.

· Manage internal and external PPAP completion and submission.

· All inspections and qualifications to be documented using established procedures and formats.

· Manage Reliance PPAP system assigning PPAP elements to suppliers, reviewing submissions, and accepting/rejecting.

· Perform work assignments per Quality Engineer’s instruction and work schedule.

· Assist in meeting departmental work schedules and company quality standards.

· Maintain OSHA compliance and corporate safety standards.

· Maintain current technical skills on all technical measuring devices as required.

· Perform other Quality functions/audits that assist in maintaining the Quality standards of the product.

· Make necessary recommendations for process improvements.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

· Work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

· Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, and climb.

· Stand and walk for the duration of assigned shift.

· Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.

It may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to eight hours a day.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

· High School diploma or GED required.

· Two-year degree in technical field desired.

· Ability to maintain product confidentiality.

· Have excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

· Have a working knowledge of computer operation, basic and advanced math, and statistical process control.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, knowledge of GD&T standard.

· Be able to operate all critical measurement and test equipment.
