As an Infotainment Systems Engineer in the Motorcycle Team, you will be responsible for leading the vehicle system requirements, integration, and validation of Motorcycle infotainment systems from concept to production to meet the needs of multiple vehicle platforms and derivatives. You’ll work to deliver breakthrough infotainment products and services that delight our customers and bring increasing value to engineering and the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for translating infotainment (displays, gauges, connected) business requirements into vehicle-level feature requirements and documentation that accurately reflect the needs and wants of the business while also accounting for the defined system constraints, and that can be distributed across cross-functional development teams.

  • Drives definition of Motorcycle infotainment vehicle strategies and features in coordination with product management, engineering, test, and connected platform teams.

  • Interacts with other teams in engineering, test, manufacturing, purchasing, and external suppliers as needed for the successful completion of projects.

  • Oversees end-to-end vehicle system validation strategy and execution to ensure quality metrics are met.

  • Root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of vehicle infotainment systems when issues arise.

  • Other duties as required.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • B.S. or higher in Engineering required.

  • 2+ years’ experience in design/integration of software or electronics required.

  • Experience decomposing business requirements to sub-system level feature requirements utilizing requirements management tools.

  • Experience with serial communications required. Must be able to decompose signals at the bit/byte level, some practical programming experience preferred. Experience with CAN logging tools like CANaylzer or CANoe beneficial.

  • Experience generating and executing feature or software test cases.

  • Direct experience with implementation/integration of vehicle displays, gauges, and/or connected features/telematics beneficial.

  • Proven ability to succeed in fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Customer focused mindset with a passion for technology.

  • Must have or work to obtain Motorcycle driver’s license endorsement & completion of MSF Basic Rider & Basic Rider 2 Courses.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Some travel required (not to exceed 10%) to support vehicle builds, testing, and interface with suppliers.

  • On-vehicle and shop work required.
