Job Summary:

The Engineering Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering Global Engineering training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of employees. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning and development, facilitation (in person and online), instructional design, and enjoys creating engaging and effective training programs. The Engineering Training Specialist will consult and lead project teams to effectively shape and apply the training strategy, approach, roadmap, tools and templates to Engineering specific learning programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deliver Global Engineering training programs for various levels of Engineering leaders, managers, and employees.

  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify skills gaps and training requirements.

  • Design and develop training programs using instructional design principles and techniques, including classroom, online, and on-the-job training.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements.

  • Establish Global relationships and partnerships that effectively work across Global business and functional teams on Engineering learning initiatives.

  • Collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up to-date.

  • Manage and support training organization such as event planning, LMS (Learning Management System) tracking, and coordinating class resources.

  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively across global Engineering teams using multiple communication tools and technology.

  • Foster a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified, and standardized processes.

  • Strong instructional design skills, including experience with e-learning authoring tools.

  • Proficient in organizational and project management skills to achieve adoption in program deliverables.

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective training programs.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Professionalism and strong customer service skills

  • Proficient MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Visio

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Training, Human Resources, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in training and development.

  • Background in Engineering and or manufacturing preferred.

  • Experience with powersports or automotive fields training preferred.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
