Job Summary:
The Training Content Developer is responsible for creating and implementing effective learning content for the Polaris Engineering team. The role demands a blend of creativity, experience in instructional design, and a solid understanding of engineering concepts and adult learning principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive learning materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and multimedia content.
Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and relevant content for a diverse audience.
Work with subject matter experts to determine training needs and goals.
Update and maintain course quality to meet Polaris Engineering standards.
Use multimedia technology and authoring tools for innovative training solutions.
Collaborate with various teams to align learning content with company objectives.
Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of quality content.
Set and follow through on project timelines and milestones.
Assess training effectiveness and incorporate feedback for improvement.
Keep ahead of instructional design and engineering education trends.
Key Skills:
Proficiency in instructional design and e-learning authoring tools (MS PowerPoint, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Storyline).
Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective training programs.
Skills to translate complex engineering concepts into clear, concise training materials.
Creative problem-solving abilities.
Independent and collaborative work skills across global teams.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Effective time management under tight deadlines.
Professional demeanor and customer service excellence.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Visio.
Education/Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in training and development
Bachelor’s or master's degree in Instructional Design, Engineering Education, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing technical training programs, preferably in an engineering context.
Knowledge of learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
Background in Engineering and or manufacturing preferred.
Experience with powersports or automotive fields training preferred.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
