Job Summary

Leads, monitors and coordinates technical support of assigned work area, which includes assisting others with production problems, providing work instruction, training and communicating effectively with team to ensure quality parts are being produced.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Production Supervisor and Trainer to ensure production needs are met.

  • Responsible for setting-up and running machines.

  • Provide technical assistance to Engineering to improve process robustness, cycle times, throughput, ergonomic and safety elements as assigned.

  • Monitors equipment for preventative maintenance.

  • Work with Engineering to develop fixtures and select tooling required to manufacture parts.

  • Work with Engineering to prove out CNC programs for machine tools.

  • Assumes other responsibilities as required.

  • Supports Continuous Improvement efforts.

Skills, Experience, & Education

  • Knowledge of Advanced CNC machine principles.

  • 5 years of machining and/or manufacturing experience, preferred.

  • Experience with readingblueprints,Engineering drawingsand specifications.

  • Has a strongmechanicalaptitude and Attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively to co-workers.

  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.

  • Is a self-starter and has the drive to take on responsibilities and challenges.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Good communication skills to interact with other departments and outside firms.

  • High School(High school diploma) education or GED (High school diploma) completion, required

  • Constantly required PPE including, but not limited to eye protection, safety toes shoes & hearing protection.

  • Definitions: Constant (6-8 hrs./shift) Frequent: (2-5 hrs./shift) Occasional: (Up to 2 hrs./shift)

  • Frequently able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

  • Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.

  • Occasional exposure to chemicals and fumes.

  • Constant exposure to loud noise.

  • Frequent repetitive motion.

  • Constant use hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel or handle and manipulate parts and tools.

  • Frequently reach with hands and arms.

  • Constantly stand and walk throughout workday.
